Wood Betony (1/2 oz)

Wood Betony is a magickal and medicinal herb of the Mint family. In Britain, its use goes back to Anglo-Saxon times. Betony was such a staple of the herb cabinet that it gave rise to the saying, "as many virtues as betony."

Wood Betony may be used in workings to relieve tension and anxiety, and to restore the body and spirit. As a healing herb it is considered to sacred to Brigid or Bride. ("Bride's Comb" is one of its alternate names.) In Hoodoo, Betony is an ingredient in uncrossing and jinx-reversal spells and incenses.
