Pair of Vintage Silver-Plated Candle Holders (Art Nouveau Style)
A pair of silver-plated candle holders in an ornate Art Nouveau style, with tulip cups and scrollwork designs. Estimated to be from the 1930s or 1940s based on similar catalog listings.
The candlesticks are quite heavy (each weighs about three-quarters of a pound.) The base metal is probably pewter. The finish has some deep pitting and scratching, especially near the bases. Sold as a pair.

The three Weidlich brothers specialized in ornate small metals and once had a showroom on New York's Fifth Avenue. Their business survived the Great Depression, but not the postwar manufacturing boom.
