Palo Santo (or “Holy Wood”) is a sweet-smelling tropical wood that is a natural incense. It has been used for healing and cleansing in South America since the time of the Incas. Palo Santo is said to remove negative spirits and energies, increase relaxation, and bring joy and harmony to the home.
Our Palo Santo is sustainably harvested from fallen tree limbs in Ecuador and/or Peru. It is purchased from a reputable importer who cooperates with conservation efforts in these countries.
Each package contains 2 oz of Palo Santo wood (Bursera graveolens). They are packed by weight, but will always include nine or more sticks.
How to Use Palo Santo
Palo Santo is used like incense or smudge sticks. Holding the wood by one end, ignite the tip of the other end with a match, lighter, or candle. Blow out the flame so that it continues to smolder. Wave the fragrant smoke around object or places you wish to cleanse, or place in a heat-resistant dish and allow the sweet burning wood to slowly burn. Sticks can be extinguished and re-used several times.
