Bay Leaf (1 oz)

Fragrant and complex, Bay leaves have many magickal and folkloric uses.  The Laurel crowns given to triumphant athletes were made from the leaves. Sacred to Apollo, the leaves were also used at the oracle at Delphi for divinatory rites. 

In the Middle Ages, the leaves were included in charms to ward off all kinds of nuisances, from insects to pestilence to witchcraft. The magickal associations of Bay include victory, strength, protection, and prophecy. Writing one's wishes on Bay leaves and them burning them at the Full Moon is said to bring quick success. Not packaged for food use.
