Wood Betony (1/2 oz)
Wood Betony is a magical and medicinal herb of the Mint family. In Britain, its use goes back to Saxon times. Betony was such a staple of the herb cabinet that it gave rise to the saying, "as many virtues as betony."
A mild sedative, Wood Betony may be used in workings to relieve tension and anxiety, and to restore the body and spirit. As a healing herb it is considered to sacred to Brigid or Bride. ("Bride's Comb" is one of its alternate names.) In Hoodoo, Betony is an ingredient in uncrossing and jinx-reversal spells and incenses.
